Brand Design

Want to hire a logo designer? Here’s some food for thought.

Just because a company comes up first in your search results doesn’t mean they’re the best people to hire!

IllustrationHere’s the thing. If you Google “logo designer” in your area, you’re going to have to wade through a bunch of search results that are those cheap and dirty “custom logo design companies”. Why is that bad? Well, to start with, it’s just about as far as you can get from a talented and passionate designer who really researches your needs and, more to the point, really cares about the end results. How those cheap companies achieve those top search rankings we’re not even going to get into, but let’s just say, it certainly isn’t always honourable. And for the record, those designers are usually working on “spec” — in other words they’re producing the work before they know if they’ve won the job — which of course encourages them to churn out the work as quickly as possible. That certainly doesn’t bode well for your hard-earned business’s new identity. Sheesh.

Your visual identity, your brand, is often the first impression a potential client will have of your business.

No. What you need is a designer who takes pride in working closely with you to perfectly reflect the message that you want to convey. Your visual identity, your brand, is often the first impression a potential client will have of your business. You want that identity to be unique, powerful, and unforgettable; not just another cheap and cheerful design that looks like everyone else, right? I hate to say it, because it’s trite, but really? you get what you pay for. Do you and your business a favour and invest in something that really matters.
