I absolutely love the new logo that Auni designed for the Crown and Pumpkin Studio Tour. The crown looks like it is formed by the pumpkin vines — which seem to wander and wind, much like our rural roads. The design is unpretentious yet subtly outstanding, which describes our community to a tee. I felt that the brochure Auni designed was also exceptional, however, not being an expert, I showed it to a friend who at one time owned a magazine that won several awards for the best designed magazine in Ontario. She said it was the best brochure for a small organization that she had ever seen.
I asked Auni for promotional material for my campaign for Deputy Mayor in the 2018 Municipal election. The results were outstanding. The campaign signs were simple and very eye-catching – they really stood out in the clutter of signs at road intersections. The products were completed in a very quick turn-around and negotiations were quick and easy. Auni was a delight to work with – she very quickly realized what we wanted (even before we did!)
I have also had the privilege of working with Auni on three projects that she undertook on a pro bono basis for three local not-for-profit organizations – the Lanark County Food Bank (now branded as ‘The Hunger Stop”), the Naismith Men’s Shed group and the Neighbourhood Tomato Community Gardening Group. In each case she worked exceptionally well with community groups where decision making was not always simple or easy. The end results in each case are striking brands, easily recognizable and memorable.
