A WordPress website we designed and built is being featured at London Build 2017.
London Build is the UK’s largest construction expo. Our client EkoBuilt was notified by WordPress.com at the end of September that their website is among a handful of sites likely to be showcased on computer screens in the exhibition hall at the show this week.
To put that in perspective, there are over 75,000,000 (yes, that’s 75 million!) WordPress.com sites on the internet. I’m not sure exactly how many of those are in the construction industry but I’m willing to bet that it’s a lot! We’re pretty chuffed about having one of our sites selected as (and I quote) “a great example of what you can do on WordPress.com and [to] serve as inspiration for event attendees that visit our exhibition booth” (from an editor at WordPress.com).
WordPress.com website development
A sizable chunk of our website development these days is in WordPress.com. We recommend this solution to our clients due to its affordability, quick timelines, ease of customization, and iron-clad security (your website is virtually unhackable). From simple brochure sites to sites that require a wealth of information, we are able to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
Client site being featured
EkoBuilt specializes in high performance, low energy homes. In 2015, in collaboration with our outstanding development partners at Foil Media, we launched a new brand and a customized WordPress website for EkoBuilt. In 2017 we refreshed the site and built on our ongoing marketing efforts for the business. We provide a host of services for EkoBuilt including print design, blogging, online marketing, and media releases.
Foil Media takes pride in finding the exact right solution for each and every client, and in EkoBuilt’s case, care was taken to get the site architecture and flow just right, as well as making great use of the homepage options and grid pages for this particular WordPress.com theme. Dagne at Foil Media handles the blogging on a very active basis to ensure that the site is much more than its rich static content.
Our team also created an infographic for the site showing the component parts of their passive house building solution. A great deal of thought and planning went into deciding what elements went where, how to keep the illustration simple to look at while providing maximum information, and of course ensuring that the finished piece was engaging and inviting.
