I’ve pretty much been drawing since I could hold a pencil.

It started with a horse.

When I was a youngster, I was either reading or drawing — and often what I read informed what I was drawing — which meant it was almost all horses all the time. Those years of focus paid off since today I can usually capture a concept pretty fast by sketching it out on paper. It’s my favourite part of the process!

Getting things right.

My years of visual art training gave me a unique appreciation of composition and proportion that serve me well when illustrating. It’s important when drawing a figurative representation of an animate or inanimate object to get these things right.

Dive right in.

I’ve gathered many of the illustrations here that I’ve produced over the years. Click on the link below to see my illustration portfolio.
