Surya Daya Yoga & Wellness is an established studio in Almonte, Ontario, taken over by a new owner in 2018 who wished to make it her own with a rebrand. Working closely with the owner, we designed a new visual identity and website which is consistent with the studio’s warm, inviting, and compassionate services. LCB Consulting: Sometimes a logo design can inform website development to a large degree. The site for LCB Consulting is a simple development which is anchored by the corporate branding in a big way. To see the full site please go to: https://lcbconsultinggroup.com.

The Township of Russell Public Library: The lion’s share of our websites are built on the Wordpress.com platform, with the occasional .org site and the even more occasional custom build. The Township of Russell Public Library hired us to develop a robust site on the Wordpress.org platform, and we were all very satisfied with the final product: convenient, effective, powerful, and lovely to look at! Phoenix Irish Dresses:Long established as one of the top designers in the field, this Toronto Irish Dance Dress company recently came to us to help revitalize its brand. We created a powerful new visual identity of a phoenix rising from the flames, along with an effective and attractive new website carefully structured to help clients order their dresses as seamlessly as possible (pun intended!). With an exciting contest and a series of gorgeous and strategic advertisements, Phoenix Designs immediately captured the attention of the Irish Dancing world. Homesol Building Solutions: This website, built for a local energy consultancy, is a good example of a highly customized site that is still based on a purchased Wordpress theme. It’s a great way to conserve budget while still achieving a highly individualized visual experience, with customized graphics and buttons, and a specialized colour palette. Logo was also designed at Sumack Loft. To see the full site please go to http://www.homesol.ca.

The Rideau Lakes Public Library approached us to refresh their out of date logo and website. We worked closely with the lead librarian to design a fresh and spirited update to the old loon logo, while at the same time designing and building a website with close attention paid to how information is organized for easy navigation and improved options for publishing and sharing news.

Kealey & Tackaberry Log Homes: This Ottawa-based custom log home builder specializes in sustainability while building homes that are as energy efficient as possible. Their new branding and website, designed at Sumack Loft, represents both the traditional nature of the build as well as their creative and modern process. It emphasizes a seamless integration into the environment, a sense of living lightly, with a small carbon footprint. To see the full site please go to: https://kealeytackaberryloghomes.com.

Ottawa Valley Midwives: The local Midwives clinic opted for a modest customization of a specific Wordpress theme, with a design based on logo and branding developed by Sumack Loft and featuring a large slider highlighting interesting and pertinent facts about midwifery. EkoBuilt Home Building Solutions: EkoBuilt builds super energy efficient house plans and material kits, and specializes in building to the Passive House standard. Dandelion Foods: One of my most loyal and cherished clients, Dandelion Foods, came to the realization in 2016 that their existing website, designed by Sumack Loft several years ago, was no longer doing the things that they needed it to do. My partners and I quickly put together a proposal for a new WordPress-based site with a brand update as requested by our client. Their site is now fresh and fun with a farmstead feeling including its barnboard background and array of delicious produce, while making it easy for our friends at the store to share store specials, instore events, etc. Logo also designed at Sumack Loft. Co-operatives & Mutuals Canada holds an annual conference celebrating various achievements and awards, and approached Sumack Loft to design the identity for the event, after which social media and web banners were produced, as seen here.

The Merrickville Public Library came to us because they knew that they needed a new site in order to better organize their content and to be mobile-friendly. There were elements about their old site that they really liked, including a more structured look and feel and not a ton of white space, so a Wordpress template was selected that answered to all these wants and needs, styled to be consistent with their new branding, also designed by Sumack Loft. The Naked Composer is a multi-talented musician and poet who came to us in 2016 for both album art and a website. A quirky and compelling suite of graphics was produced, involving the composer himself and manifestations of the elements of music and poetry inside his head.
